The very latest technology coupled with our highly skilled personnel has enabled Rotolito to become one of the leading printing companies in the pre-press field. Rotolito has 4 automatic CTP lines which can produce a huge variety of plate formats to suit all our various sheet fad and web printing demands. Our pre-pres department offers our clients a wide range of services based on the most advanced technology available, forexample, file transfer and remote proof approval via the internet, colour management and the possibility of storing files on our large memory data management system. |
High quality colour illustrated books, brochures, catalogues, folders and flyers are our most popular sheetfed products. we can print on a variey of materials including woodfree and wood-containing, coated and uncoated papers, covering a wide range of grammage from 70gsm woodfree up to 400gsm 1 and 2 sided artboard.
Rotolito is proud to affer a substantial sheetfed department made up of new 4 and 5 colour presses from 700x1000mm up to 1200x1600mm all of them fully equipped with the latest in automated register and ink density-control systems. Our sheetfed department also houses UV varnishing and lamination facilities. |
Timsons web presses are specialsed in low to medium run quantities of large extent books printing in 1 or 2 colours. Dictionaries, novels, eductional books, crosswords and comocs are all ideally suted to production on our Timsons presses. |
Books with larger print runs, periodicals, magazines, travel brochures and catalogues are best suited to production on our 4-5 colour web printing machines, all of which incorporate heatset u/v dryers. Web presses are ideal for high print runs and offer superb print quality at very high speeds. Our webpress plant is equipped with a computersed paper scanner whitch checks each reel and detects any paper imperfections like holes or unevenness in the surface coating, before the reels are fed thtough the presses. Each web press is also equipped with an on-line register and ink density control system which combined with the paper scan technology, enable Rotolito to offer very high standards of quality assurance combined with the shortest lead-times possible. |
Puzzle Books and crosswords, direct mail catalogues, travel brochures and mass distribution flyers are also produced by gravure which is specialised for producing very high print runs on low grammage paper. |
Binding is the final stage in the production process. Folding, gathering, sewing, perfect binding, saddle-stitching, hardback casing in and paperback binding are some of the possibilties offered by our industry leading bindery. Again, we have utilised the most advanced technology to streamline the binding process, heling to improve production lesd-times and to minimise the risk of human error. All the machines are fully automated and computer controlled for maximun efficency. Shrinkrapping, hand assembly and automatic palletisation are also part of the service we can offer our customers. |
